Viscosity Control systems for ink, adhesives and varnishes

Solutions with measurement technology and viscosity control by vibration technology. From the experience of GAMA in the packaging market, and with the support of I&C and of R&D of leading Press Suppliers, the viscosimeters VIS G26 and G29  have been developed: simple tools, compact and easy to use, that control ink viscosity, both solvent based and water based, integrated in the pipe for the distribution of the ink from the container to the printing unit.
The VIS G26, projected to ensure the quality of the printed product, is based on a principle of ink control through the vibration of a sensor, diapason, that in contact with the ink softens its vibration and creates a wave that goes through the liquid. The observed data are elaborated and transformed in Ford or Zhaan cup values.
The viscosity values are compared with the set up data and, for every variation, the Supervisor elaborates on the fly the perfect formula of ink-solvent and will automatically modify the percentage of solvent in the ink. The System provides the operator with a production report about the viscosity’s, temperature’s and quantity’s deviation of the solvent used. The sophisticated software of Gama allows an ink control every 10 for an accurate quality of printing.

THE VIS-G30

vis-g30

The VIS-G30 is a microprocessor controller for the regulation of the viscosity of the ink. The viscosity measurement is possible through a vibration sensor immersed in the analyzed liquid, without moving parts. It’s installed in series to the outlet; it emits a frequency which, in contact with the liquid, is changed. From the analysis the control elaborates the viscosity in seconds (cup ZAHN, FORD, …) and through the management of the solvent valve keeps the value according to the reference. The cleaning of the viscometer is made at the end of the job, while washing the inking circuit.

APPLICATIONS
Rotogravure and flexo machine.
Adhesive cold seal, glow, varnishes and special inch.

CONSOLE AND COMMAND PANEL
4″-10″ touch screen monitor.
Visualization of all colours controlled, on the same screen.
Choice of the reference cup, set of the viscosity reference.
Temperature compensation.
Error signalization (no ink, no solvent or viscosity over tolerance).

CONTROL G30-DIG
Rack system cabled by connectors.
Installed in a cabinet.
Serial communication between display and control

STAND ALONE CONTROL G30-DIG
Display 4,3″-10″
In option PC touchscreen.

DECTECTOR G30-RIV
G30-RIV to install in danger zone near the ink tank.
Correction through pneumatic valve.
Feeding by rotary or alternative pumps; Viscosity is measured with 1% accuracy.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
At the end of the job, the clearing of the detector is made together with the in system.
Without mechanical moving components, without usury.

VIS-G29

THE VIS-G32

vis-g29

The VIS-G32 is a microprocessor controller for the regulation of the viscosity of adhesive, varnish and lacquer. The viscosity measurement is possible through a vibration sensor, immersed in the analyzed liquid and without moving parts, that emits a frequency which, in contact with the liquid, changed. From the analysis of it, the controller processes the viscosity in seconds (cup ZHAN, FORD) and, through the management of the solvent valve, keeps the value according to the reference. The cleaning of the viscometer is made on job, while washing the adhesive circuit.

APPLICATIONS
Rotogravure and Flexographic presses and lamination. Water and Solvent base Adhesive, cold seal, glow, varnish and special inks.

CONSOLLE AND COMMAND PANEL
HMI touchscreen 4,3” – 9,7” display. Visualization of all colors controlled on the same screen. Visualization of viscosity by a graphic bar. Choice of the cup reference, setting of the viscosity reference. Possibility to save up to 50 different works. Error signalization (no liquid or viscosity over tolerance).

CONTROL G32
Rack system cabled by connectors. Installed in a cabinet. Serial communication between HMI and control.

DETECTOR G32
G32-RIV to install in a danger zone near the liquid tank. Correction through pneumatic valve. Feeding by rotary or alternative pumps. Viscosity is measured with 1% accuracy.

OPTION
Control pH G80 by a probe dedicated Magnetic filter G70 filter. Control of temperature by G90 heat exchanger.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
At the end of the job, the cleaning of detector is made together with the liquid system, without mechanical moving components and usury.
